Introducing Proven Recruiting
Let’s me guess: no matter how much you’d like to control it, you sometimes have ‘off days’ where it feel as though the world has conquered you. The frenetic pace of your ‘always on’ work-life gets to you, and the information overload, jam-packed schedules, mounting demands and corporate mandates to ‘do more with less’ leave you feeling stressed, exhausted, and burned out.
I’ve had those days too. In fact, they’re what led me to yoga and meditation 13 years ago. Yoga is a proven effective tool for coping with work-related negativity, anxiety and stress, and it has made a measurable impact in my life since then. If you’re in need of a work-life reboot, I strongly urge you to try it out, because it works.

Everything You Need to Know About Paid Sick Leave
On July 1, 2015, the ‘Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act of 2014’ will take effect in California. Also referred to as ‘CA Paid Sick Leave,’ this law essentially states that certain employers must give their employees paid sick leave to take care of themselves and their family members, regardless of whether they are full time, part-time or temporary employees. California is the third state to adopt this progressive legislation, and an estimated 6.5 million workers will be affected. Allowing sick workers to stay home and rest may seem like a no brainer to some, but according to the National Partnership for Women & Families, ‘Nearly four in 10 private sector workers — and more than 80 percent of low-wage workers — do not currently have paid sick days to care for their own health. That means that at least 43 million workers have no access to paid sick days at all, and millions more ...
Last month, PROVEN’s Co-Founder, Ingram Losner, journeyed to Israel to meet with local tech executives and startup founders considering operations in the U.S.
A British ex-pat and U.S. business owner himself, Losner was invited to give a presentation on the unique challenges and opportunities international companies face when navigating the U.S. labor market. He was there to learn as well.
Among his many discoveries, Losner reaffirmed his belief that the "Start-Up Nation" is laser-focused on the U.S. as a major source of future funding, talent, operations and acquisitions – a trend that will only increase the already-fierce competition for tech talent in the United States. However, with the proliferation of successful Israeli startups on U.S. soil also comes reciprocal benefits such as an influx of new talent, ideas and capital into our Knowledge Eco...

If we don't mind saying so for ourselves... our last Happy Hour was a hit. Part party, part networking event, it was one of those perfect evenings where just the right mix of clients, consultants, colleagues, alums, friends, family and the like turned out to catch up with old contacts, meet new ones and unwind over a drink as the week drew to an end.
It was so good, in fact, that it left us asking, 'Why don't we do this more often?'. So here we are. Just three months later, we're back and hoping to turn this bi-annual 'customer appreciation' eve...

Ask any recruiter how they got into the Staffing Industry, and they’ll all tell you the same thing: ‘I ended up here.’
That’s because recruiting is like the pop-up shop of careers. It’s not a college major, nor is it a career path that people really consider when they’re just starting out. Rather, recruiting tends to reveal itself to people in need of a change or new opportunity and draws them in, often unexpectedly.
From recent grads to tenured professionals, the world’s staffing firms are filled with former teachers, lawyers, bartenders, accountants, chemists, marketers, product managers, entrepreneurs and the like who ‘ended up’ in staffing during a period of career transition. The job’s dynamism and earning potential attracts people from a uniquely diverse range of backgrounds, and a select few do exceedingly well.
This is one of those stories.
The ‘Ins and Outs’ of Technology Recruiting
You already know that LinkedIn is an essential personal branding tool that every professional should use. But are you really getting anything out of it? That’s all it takes.
Here’s why it matters:
According to LinkedIn, more than 111 million Americans have active profiles on their site. That’s about 70% of our entire workforce. And according to READ MORE
